Question:
To ask the Minister of Health to detail when (i) Lindsey House; and (ii) Redwood will be available to provide respite care.

Answer:

The Trust plans to have Redwood Children’s Home operational by September 2025 and it will be registered as a Long-term home delivering two placements. One of the two placements is intended to be a shared care involving two young people. This is intended to offer enhanced support to two families who need more than a short break but less than a full-time residential placement. Redwood will not deliver short breaks or respite. The opening of Redwood will enable the reopening of Lindsay House to deliver Short Breaks by September 2025.
