Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities to detail how his Department is working to support local community groups who are established, or wish to establish themselves, as community resilience groups in times of adverse weather.

Answer:

It is clear the Community & Voluntary Sector has a role to play in community resilience. My department funds the NI Emergency Preparedness Group, and my officials are currently updating my department’s civil contingency priorities. This work will explore how community resilience can be enhanced, and the role of a wide range of stakeholders in that approach.
