To ask the Minister of Education, pursuant to AQW 23560/22-27, for a breakdown of those employed directly by the Education Authority.

Answer:

The Education Authority (EA) is the employing authority for all support staff employed in controlled and maintained schools.

The table below provides a breakdown of the categories of staff by whether the role of employer is carried out by the Board of Governors, on behalf of the EA, or by the EA itself.

Board of Governors	EA
Classroom Assistant Supervisory Assistant Building Supervisor Cleaning Staff* Extended & After Schools Staff Other including invigilators, language assistants, sports coaches and technicians	Transport Staff Catering Staff Youth Workers Cleaning Staff (EA Cleaning Service)
