To ask the Minister of Finance whether his Department will prioritise respite care funding in the next budget, given its critical role in supporting families and reducing long-term healthcare costs.

Answer:

As the Department of Health has responsibility for providing respite care, this is a matter for the Health Minister to consider in line with his other priorities, once the final 2025-26 Budget has been agreed by the Executive.
