Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities (i) to provide a copy of the processes and procedures used by his Department with third parties involved in co-designing and co-producing policy; (ii) to detail any mechanisms in place to measure (a) the effectiveness of the co-design and co-production process; and (b) feedback from organisations, bodies and individuals who have worked with his Department, for example on any of the social strategies or the Irish Language Strategy.

Answer:
There is no central Departmental policy and procedure for policy areas and projects involved in co-design and each will have their own, tailored to their specific requirements. Similarly, each area will have their own review and feedback mechanisms in place – for example the Dept of Finance’s Business Consultancy Services (BCS) was commissioned to undertake a review of the Social Inclusion co-design process. A copy of the BCS Review will be placed in the Assembly Library.
