Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities to detail any steps his Department will take to accurately record outcomes resulting from homelessness prevention activity, in line with the Northern Ireland Audit Office report on homelessness.

Answer:

The Department welcomes the publication of the Northern Ireland Audit Office report into Homelessness.

The report recognises the complexity of the issue of homelessness and acknowledges the considerable effort and substantial investment in addressing this problem.

The Department will now take time to consider its findings and recommendations. However, I would note that the Housing Executive records homelessness prevention outcomes using the standard P1E definition for homelessness prevention.
