Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail any plans to expand access to practical cooking and nutrition education in post-primary schools.

Answer:

I have commissioned a strategic review of the curriculum, currently being carried out by Lucy Crehan, which will focus on the purpose, design, specification and implementation of the Curriculum and how we can learn from high performing education systems to bring about necessary reform. Ms Crehan is due to provide her report to my Department in May 2025, at which point I will consider the recommendations.
