Question:
To ask the Minister of Health to detail the number of children that have been assessed for ADHD in the Northern Health and Social Care Trust in the last five years.


Answer:
As there is no regionally commissioned services for ADHD, HSC Trusts do not routinely provide returns for ADHD assessment activity.

The data outlines assessments within the Behavioural Assessment Service within time period requested. This is up until the implementation of encompass on 6/11/24. NHSCT are unable to provide validated data since the implementation of the Encompass.
The data does not include diagnosis at outpatients as these are not coded on a system. As the information is contained with individual records and would require a manual trawl it would be cost prohibitive.
