Question:
To ask the Minister of Health, in light of recent media reports, to detail any actions his Department is taking to ensure the validity of ADHD consultations in the Northern Health and Social Care Trust.

Answer:

NHSCT have advised my Department that they are conducting a retrospective case note review of patients who were seen by Dr Anish within the Trust’s paediatric service during a specific eight-week period at the end of last year. This review is being conducted at pace and is ongoing. The outcome will determine what, if any, further action is required by the Trust.

The Trust is keeping the Department informed while it carries out its review. Findings from this review will inform any action required.
