Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail the number of nursery schools that are currently in deficit are in receipt of both principal release funding and small school support.

Answer:

There are 93 statutory nursery schools. 38 reported a deficit as at 31 March 2024.

Under the Common Funding Scheme, nursery schools do not attract Primary Principals’ Release Time factor or the Small Schools Support factor.
