To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister to detail any engagement they have proactively taken to examine the work done by Civic Initiative, specifically in relation to its proof of concept of a Citizens' Assembly.

Answer:

We recognise and fully support, the role that civic society plays in supporting policy making, through co-design and co-production approaches.

Ministers have recently written to Executive colleagues to seek their views on the proposed reestablishment of the Civic Forum which would complement the growing direct involvement of stakeholders in co-design in policy formulation.
