To ask the Minister of Health to detail the number of parental requests for residential care for a child or young person with a disability that were received by the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust in each of the last five years.

Answer:

The South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust does not centrally collate requests by parents of children with a disability who were seeking a residential placement. This particular field is not captured electronically on the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trusts information management systems. To attempt to locate this information would require a manual examination of hundreds of files.
