Question:
To ask the Minister of Health, pursuant to AQW 24360/22-27, to detail the number of residential short break beds are assessed as being required by South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust Children's Services.

Answer:

The South Eastern Trust has been working with the Strategic Reform Board and the associated work streams, established by my Department to deliver upon the recommendations arising from the Independent review of Social work and Social care (DoH:2022). The South Eastern Trust has scoped the number of short break residential beds needed and require an additional two 4 placement homes to match the historic short fall of short break services and to address the waiting list for Residential Short Breaks.
