Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities for an overview of how his Department will be engaging with the findings of report entitled The Prevalence and Impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences in Northern Ireland, commissioned by the Executive Programme on Paramilitarism and Organised Crime.

Answer:

My Department acknowledge the work undertaken by The Executive Programme on Paramilitarism and Organised Crime (EPPOC) in commissioning this important report. Officials work closely with EPPOC on the Department for Communities elements of Fresh Start work to embed a trauma informed approach. My senior leadership team will give further consideration to how the findings of this report could be integrated across the Department’s wide-ranging work going forward.
