Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail the projected annual cost to Translink for providing a night-time bus service.

Answer:

I recognise the importance of supporting the growth of the nighttime economy and the need to ensure that those working, visiting or socialising in the city centre at night have a safe, affordable and convenient way of getting home.

My officials have been working with Translink to explore the feasibility of extending nighttime public transport services beyond the Christmas period. I am also planning to meet with key stakeholders with an interest in the nighttime economy, to explore what options might exist in terms of a partnership approach to funding a service extension.
