Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure whether the current wildfires on NI Water land will result in further overspending.

Answer:

This is an operational matter for NI Water; however, I have sought the relevant information.

NI Water has advised that the potential costs to mitigate against any outlay that can be attributed to the wildfires is currently unknown and may not be confirmed for some time.

These costs will need to be met from NI Water’s 2025/26 budget allocation, once agreed.
