Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail any changes that have been made to the pre-school Published Admission Number allocation criteria and process for both statutory and non-statutory providers in each of the last five years.

Answer:

The EA has advised that no changes have been made to the criteria and processes for allocating PANs to non-statutory providers over the past 5 years.

Statutory pre-school settings are not allocated a PAN, but rather they are set an admissions and enrolment number via a legislative process as set out in the Education (Northern Ireland) Order 1998.
