Question:
To ask the Minister of Health to detail (i) any engagement his Department has had with the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust (SEHSCT) following its decision to cancel its summer schemes in Lisburn and Downpatrick; and (ii) any financial support his Department can offer to the SEHSCT to enable these summer schemes to be reinstated.

Answer:
The Department has not had any engagement with South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust following its decision to cancel its summer schemes in Lisburn and Downpatrick. It is understood, given the challenging financial position of the Trust, and the requirement to minimise all discretionary areas of spend there was no request to the Department to provide funding to sustain a non-core service.
The Department is not in a position currently to offer financial support.
