Question:
To ask the Minister of Health to detail how his Department is currently monitoring and evaluating its part-funding of the Physician Associate course.

Answer:

My Department is currently undertaking an evaluation of the Physician Associate role across the HSC. It is hoped that it will provide firm evidence base and recommendations on the future of the Physician Associate role in Northern Ireland. This evaluation will also consider learning points emerging from the review of Physician Associate and Anaesthesia Associates roles currently underway in England.
