Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy when she intends to bring forward the (i) costings; and (ii) investments associated with delivering the measures intended to be included in the forthcoming Good Jobs Employment Rights Bill.

Answer:

My Department carried out individual Regulatory Impact Assessments on the proposed updates to our employment law framework, including a Small and Micro Business Impact Assessment. These impact assessments, which are available on the Department’s website and formed part of my Department’s consultation, will be assessed and reviewed as we continue to develop further our policies and legislation. Additional measures (such as extended paternity leave or paid carer’s leave) could have legislative, administrative and financial implications which would require careful consideration by the Executive.
