To ask the Minister for Communities how the work with the Department of Health on carers and recognition of unpaid carers will be included in his upcoming Disability Strategy.

Answer:

Work is underway to ensure that the Disability Strategy reflects the current needs of Deaf and disabled people alongside the Executive’s priorities.

I can confirm that as part of this process, engagement is taking place with the Department of Health on a range of issues that will be reflected in the draft Strategy.
