To ask the Minister for Infrastructure whether she will fund NI Water to deliver the necessary improvements to sewerage and storm drainage systems in the Magheraknock Park development, Ballynahinch.

Answer:

Magheraknock Park, Ballynahinch is a private development and neither the Department nor NI Water has any legal remit to carry out works in private developments. The responsibility to construct the sewerage infrastructure to a standard which NI Water will adopt, rests with the developer or the residents.

NI Water makes every effort to encourage developers to complete their sites to an appropriate standard so that they may be adopted.
