Question:
To ask the Minister of Health for an update on the establishment of the regional Mother and Baby Unit in Belfast, including the expected timeline for completion and opening.

Answer:

The business case for the Mother and Baby Unit is well-progressed with further work currently being carried out to strengthen the proposal and to future proof the Unit. It is almost nearing completion and will be submitted to the Department’s commissioning team in SPPG for scrutiny. However, progression of the project will remain subject to the necessary funding being identified.
