Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for an update on the phased review of the Taxis Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.

Answer:

As you are aware I have recently asked officials to undertake a phased review of taxi policy and legislation, commencing with a review of the Class C taxi licensing system.

To help understand the views of the taxi industry, in relation to the Class C taxi licensing system, I have agreed to meet with a number of key stakeholders over the coming weeks.

My Officials are also planning on gathering information from across all four taxi classes via survey sampling, to help inform policy development for this review.
