Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail any engagement undertaken with children and young people on their experiences of the Transition Service for young people aged 14+ who have a Statement of Special Educational Needs.

Answer:

As part of the End to End (E2E) Review of Special Educational Needs (SEN), a series of engagement events took place with young people who were going through (or had gone through) the transitions process and parents/carers.

The Education Authority’s (EA) Transitions Service engages with young people during annual reviews of statements, school leaver events, careers appointments and transitions visits.
