Question:
To ask the Minister of Health to detail the number of South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust respite stays at Greenhill that have been cancelled in the last 12 months, including the reason for cancellation.

Answer:
South Eastern Trust can advise that in the past 12 months there have been 29 overnights cancelled which has impacted upon 10 young people.   Cancellations are mostly attributed to absences of staff or the Trust having to reprioritise the allocation of an overnight Short Break in the case of an emergency.  3 overnights were cancelled at the request of two families.
The Trust endeavours to deliver community based Short Breaks or day care child minding to those young people who have had an overnight Short Break cancelled. Those community Short Breaks are delivered through the Community Outreach Service , LynC Outreach, the Social Work Assistants attached to the Social Work teams or a combination of Direct Payments.
