To ask the Minister of Education to outline how his Department will ensure that all young people with a statement of special educational need, have access to independent travel training programmes from the earliest stage.

Answer:

The Post 16 curriculum in Special Schools will generally include aspects related to the development of life skills, such as independence and social skills, online safety and travel training. Mainstream schools may do this to a lesser extent, but it will depend on the profile of learners within their school.
