To ask the Minister for Communities to detail any plans he has to introduce a ban on no fault evictions.

Answer:

I am already taking forward work to introduce much longer notice to quit periods, as mandated by the Assembly in the Private Tenancies Act (NI), 2022. This change will greatly improve security of tenure for individuals and families in the Private Rent Sector. I therefore have no plans to introduce a ban on no fault evictions.
