Question:
To ask the Minister of Education what guidance is provided to schools on identifying, preventing, and responding to incidents of upskirting among pupils.

Answer:

My department provides guidance for educational settings on all child protection and safeguarding matters.

In 2022, the Department of Justice introduced new legislation which established new offences, including up-skirting. My department’s guidance was reviewed to include information on these new offences and also how schools can identify harmful sexual behaviour, alongside providing advice on dealing with these issues as they emerge.
