Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities to outline the planned investment in the Anti-Poverty Strategy, during (i) the current financial year; and (ii) in future years.

Answer:

Most of the services delivered by my Department help to tackle poverty, both directly and indirectly. Each Department has committed to ensure that current and future interventions based on key strategic actions will be adequately and sustainably resourced.

It is intended that the Action plan accompanying the Strategy will be updated on an ongoing basis. Where additional actions for contribution to the Anti-Poverty Strategy are identified, contributing departments will identify and bid for appropriate resources to take these forward.

The final content of the Strategy will be subject to public consultation before final agreement of the Executive.
