Question:
To ask the Minister of Education for an update on the Education Authority review of how it delivers maintenance and minor works to schools.

Answer:

The Education Authority (EA) has advised that its Chief Executive has engaged the services of an external reviewer to act as a ‘critical friend’ and undertake an independent assessment of EA’s capital works processes.

This external report is in development. It is currently anticipated that the detail of the report will be presented to the EA Board at its meeting in June 2025.
