Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail any engagement she is having with Newry, Mourne and Down District Council to develop an alternative to the Mourne Gateway Project.

Answer:

I am supportive of retaining the funding that was committed to the Mourne Mountains Gateway Project within in the Newry, Mourne and Down area, and I am committed to working with partners to help achieve that.

My officials, including Tourism NI, have met with Newry, Mourne and Down District Council and Belfast Region City Deal representatives to offer support with the development of alternative options.
