To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, pursuant to AQW 17757/22-27, for an update on the replacement of the pedestrian footbridge at Muff Glen, Eglington.

Answer:

Since I corresponded with you in October 2024 via AQW 17757/22-27, I can provide you with an update as follows.

The design and location for the footbridge has been finalised and agreed and a planning application is currently being prepared. This requires a flood risk management assessment, which has been commissioned by the Construction & Procurement Delivery of the Department of Finance. Following completion of the assessment the planning application will be submitted for consideration by the planning authorities.
