Question:
To ask the Minister of Health when he expects to publish full details of the new Waiting List Reimbursement Scheme.

Answer:

The Scheme has now launched 2 June 2025, and gives patients, who are ordinarily resident in Northern Ireland and have been on an HSC hospital treatment waiting list for two years, the option to seek and pay for treatment in the private sector and have the cost reimbursed, up to the cost of the treatment to Health and Social Care (HSC) in Northern Ireland.

Details of the application process and accessing funding are now available on the Department’s website.
