To ask the Minister for Infrastructure, pursuant to AQW 18399/22-27, whether the broken and missing cycling wands in Upper Arthur Street, Belfast, can be replaced.

Answer:

The location of the cycling wands in Upper Arthur Street, Belfast are a continued problem with damage caused on a regular basis by poor or inconsiderate driving. I am advised that my officials have visited the location and identified six cycling wands requiring repair or replacement.

A works instruction will be passed to the contractor to programme the replacement of the missing cycling wands, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed in the coming weeks.
