Question:
To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs what economic assessment has been made of the impact on small and medium farms from the proposed Nutrients Action Programme for 2026 - 2029.

Answer:

In line with statutory process, an initial Regulatory Impact Assessment has been published with the Nutrients Action Programme consultation and a final Regulatory Impact Assessment will be completed, informed by the consultation.

The final Regulatory Impact Assessment will be complemented by a full economic impact assessment to ensure any decisions on the draft proposals are informed by a full understanding of the potential impact.
