Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to outline the number of requests which have come through the Education Authority's Special Educational Needs Digital Request for Involvement Portal, since it opened.

Answer:

The Education Authority (EA) has advised that:

Over 3,100 requests for EA involvement have been received through the digital Request for Involvement (RfI) form since the portal opened on 30 January 2025.

This includes requests for involvement from existing Special Educational Needs and Disability Pupil Support Services and the Educational Psychology Service. It should be noted that previous referral routes remained open in parallel to the digital RfI form across February, March and April 2025 and these constitute additional referrals on top of the 3,100.
