Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail an update on the building of new special schools.

Answer:

Departmental officials have been working alongside Education Authority Area Planning, Children and Young People's Services and Capital colleagues on the plans for new build special schools.

I hope to be in a position to make an announcement early in the 2025/26 academic year on progress, to coincide with the publication of the Plans of Action for all special schools.
