To ask the Minister of Education if the targeted business support scheme for childcare providers will give particular consideration to the role of the community and voluntary childcare sector.

Answer:

The Department for the Economy (DfE) is leading on a scoping exercise to develop a clearer picture of the business support requirements of the whole childcare sector, including community and voluntary provision, to help inform an appropriate government response. I understand the report is currently being finalised.
