Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to outline his assessment of the need to provide additional funding to community and voluntary childcare providers who support children and families in disadvantaged areas.

Answer:

The Department for the Economy (DfE) is leading on a scoping exercise to develop a clearer picture of the business support requirements of the whole childcare sector, including community and voluntary provision, to help inform an appropriate government response. I understand the report is currently being finalised.
