To ask the Minister for Communities for his assessment of the use of (i) community centres; or (ii) council facilities as emergency shelter for people at risk.

Answer:

Usage of these facilities as emergency shelter is a well-established practice in the UK and is endorsed by the NI Emergency Preparedness Group Emergency Support Centre Framework.
