Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail whether his Department has evidence of any negative impact on the (i) educational attainment; and (ii) attendance levels, of children who are on a waiting list to see Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, broken down by Health Trust area.

Answer:

Neither my department nor the Education Authority holds the data by Health Trust Areas on waiting lists for CAMHS.

If a child is awaiting an assessment from CAMHS and cannot attend school while awaiting assessment, schools will follow the Code of Practice and utilise services such as Education Psychology and Education Welfare Service to support need.
