To ask the Minister of Finance whether his Department has assessed how leaseholder protections compare with those in England, Wales and the Republic of Ireland.

Answer:

The detailed scoping report to which I referred in the answer to AQW 28755 contains an assessment of leaseholder protections in these jurisdictions. Those differences will form part of the consideration of any future policy development on this issue.
