Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities to detail any plans the Department has to develop a policy on meanwhile use of vacant government buildings by the arts sector.

Answer:

The Department of Finance is responsible for the NICS office estate and so would be responsible for any policy on meanwhile use.

The strategic capital needs of the arts and wider heritage sectors is one of the issues being considered in the context the development of a new arts policy under the Heritage, Culture and Creativity Programme that I established in July last year.
