To ask the Minister of Education to detail an update on the working group which was set up in November 2024 to scope out the requirements needed to address children missing in education.

Answer:

Work has commenced on looking at the processes and policies in place in other jurisdictions as well as considering the range of data sources that may be required. The working group is scheduled to have its next meeting in advance of the commencement of the 2025/2026 academic year.
