Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail the budget set aside for the construction of the A5 Western Transport Corridor scheme between Strabane and Ballygawley during the (i) 2025-26; and (ii) 2026-27, financial years.

Answer:

The DfI budget for the A5 scheme for the 2025-26 financial year is £165m which is now subject to review. Budgets have not yet been agreed for the 2026-27 financial year, however, this remains an Executive flagship project. Annual budget allocations to the scheme will be subject to Executive and Assembly approval as part of the statutory budget process.
