Question:
To ask the Minister of Health for an update on the work of the Improving Health within Criminal Justice Oversight Group.

Answer:

The Department of Health jointly with the Department of Justice recently published a Progress Report on the Improving Health within Criminal Justice Strategy and Action Plan (May 2025). The Oversight Group approved the report prior to it being shared with the Health and Justice Ministers. The Oversight Group will now consider and approve the recommended way forward with the Strategy, as it has reached its five years life span.
