Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail her Department's consideration to reopen the railway line to Limavady town, including the progress any plans.

Answer:
Following on from the All-Island Strategic Rail Review, Translink has undertaken a preliminary study to identify the rail infrastructure requirements for a new station at Limavady. This would require a spur off the main line and additional passing loops. The project is currently considered as a longer-term initiative in Translink’s capital plan, but its future requirements will be considered as part of the Belfast to Derry Enhancement Programme.
