To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail any engagement her Department has had with the renewable liquid gas sector in relation to investment in local production and supply chains.

Answer:

My officials have continued to engage with the sector on consumer issues and developments in liquid biofuels, particularly in the context of the Departments recent Call for Evidence on the use of biofuels to decarbonise heating. The Department is currently working through the responses and undertaking a detailed analysis. Further engagement with stakeholders in the sector is expected as part of this ongoing process.
