Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance to detail his assessment of the revised Civil Service policy which requires at least 40 per cent of working hours to be spent in the office.

Answer:
The Civil Service Hybrid Working policy was implemented in June 2022. When developed, it was agreed the policy should be regularly reviewed to ensure it meets the needs of the Civil Service.
The Civil Service remains committed to fostering a modern and inclusive workplace by offering flexible working options, including hybrid arrangements, to support both efficient and cost-effective public service delivery.
A recent review of the Hybrid Working Policy reaffirms the value of flexible working while also acknowledging the significant advantages of workplace attendance.
The updated Hybrid Working Policy will be implemented across all departments from 1 September to 31 October 2025.
